I sing a simple song of love
To my Savior, to my Jesus.
I’m grateful for the things You’ve done,
My loving Savior, my precious Jesus.

My heart is glad that You’ve called me Your own.
There’s no place I’d rather be than

In Your arms of love,
In Your arms of love.
Holding me still, holding me near,
In Your arms of love.

You are the everlasing arms beneath me, my refuge, my shelter, my provider. I will sing of your love forever.

Hide And Seek

1 Samuel 10:20-24 “When Samuel brought all the tribes of Israel near, the tribe of Benjamin was chosen. Then he brought forward the tribe of Benjamin, clan by clan, and Matri’s clan was chosen. Finally Saul son of Kish was chosen. But when they looked for him, he was not to be found. So they inquired further of the LORD, ‘Has the man come here yet?’ And the LORD said, ‘Yes, he has hidden himself among the baggage.’ They ran and brought him out, and as he stood among the people, he was a head taller than any of the others. Samuel said to all the people, ‘Do you see the man the LORD has chosen? There is no one like him among all the people.'”

Stop hiding in your baggage, for I have called you to such a task, for such a time, and I will be with you. Do not fear doing great things in My name. I am with you always.

Stop refusing help from those that I have brought into your life to pull you from your baggage. You are no longer a slave to your sin. I have set you free.

You can hide in your baggage all you want, but you cannot escape my presence. If you make your bed in the depths, I am there. The darkness is not dark to me, you cannot hide from me. I long for you to dwell in my light, than in your darkness.

Darkness is no longer my portion, for you shined your light.

Behold Your God (Part 2)

You long to be gracious, You long to show justice,

How can you hold back your wrath from your people?

Your zeal is matched by no other, You rise to show compassion,

How gracious you are when we cry for help,

As soon as you hear us you answer.

Oh Lord, who dwells on high, forever be exalted,

Exalted and lifted up.

We long to see you, the King, in all Your beauty.

You are our foundation in uncertain times.

You are our judge, our lawgiver, our one and only King.

You made the heavens and the earth, You are God our all.

Your word stands forever.

Lord you come with sovereignty and power,

You tend Your flock like a shepherd,

You gather the lambs in your arms and carry them close to Your heart.

You lead us gently, Oh Lord, who is like you?

You sit enthroned above the circle of the earth,

You stretch over heaven like a canopy.

Oh Creator of the ends of the earth, you are everlasting, No beginning and no end.

You will never grow tired or weary,

You give strength to the weary, and increase the power of the weak.

Who can even begin to fathom all that You are?

You have chosen us and not rejected us.

You will strengthen us and uphold us with Your right hand,

You yourself help us, You will answer us, You will not forsake us.

You, Oh Lord, will not give Your glory or praise to idols,

Glory and praise are Yours rightly due.

You made a dry path through the sea,

You are making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.

You are the one who blots out our transgressions and remembers our sins no more.

You make us holy and blameless,

You who made us and forms us in the womb will surely help us.

Is there any God besides you? NO, there is no other, I know not one.

You have swept away our offenses like a cloud, Our sins like the morning mist.

Oh that we would rend our hearts and return to You.

You Lord speak truth and declare what is right,

You are a righteous God and Saviour.

In You alone are righteousness and strength.

You alone will sustain us, You have made us, You will carry us,

You will sustain and rescue us.

You are the Lord our God who teaches us what is best for us,

And who directs us in the way we should go.

Oh Lord you are faithful, you will not forget us!

You have engraved us on the palms of your hands.

Love Simply

I’m guilty of complicating things that are genuinely simple. Tonight I was convicted of that once again.

Something that I complicate far to often.

Tonight, people looked at me, for me. Not what I could offer, of what i’ve done or haven’t done. Simply for me. And I was able to do the same. I let my guard down, and loved freely.

The simplest acts, that I perceive as nothing, are everything to someone else. Why is it so easy to get caught up in the grandeur of love acts, and miss what love is really supposed to be?

The most extravagant and profound kind of love, is simple love.
